231 Now

I have been hearing about a lot of theft that involves stolen art work lately. This is so out of the ordinary I don't know what to think. Stealing art work? I mean really, what are those who steal it going to do? It's not like they can re-sell it without being caught. They must have really "just had to have it" for their living room wall I guess.
I'm not sure who is to blame in this one... the poor economy for driving someone to steal? The lack of security at the art gallery? Or was it the lack of security on the streets in general? Maybe more policemen patrolling the streets would be incentive to I don't know, obey the law?
It may not be a popular opinion, but I think there needs to be more cops around. Especially since this has happened more than once in the past month or so. And hey, more cops means more jobs and more security. Who can argue with that one? This is supposed to be a safe community, and I for one do not really feel that safe when thief's can just walk in, take what they want and leave. This isn't some episode on law and order, someone could really get hurt!
