231 Now

Yesterday Maine became one of 31 states who don't want marriages between performers of deviant sex. That's well over 3/4 of the 57 (Obummers count) states of the Union. The liberal courts keep trying to make normal people accept the deviants, but, the PEOPLE (53%) say that they only want marriage between a Man and a woman, not Steve and Steve or Eve and Eve! I'm sure that the Senators from Maine (Snow & Collins, Rinos both) are ringing their hands, but, the will of the people is supreme, at least until some queer loving judge tries again.

Mike, you asked, "Can someone explain EXACTLY what "rights" married couples have that are being sought by this group?" Thus, I assumed you didn;t know what they are seeking. You could ask a gay person. They would be happy to explain what they are seeking.

I find it so entertaining that people hide behind this "PROTECT THE CHILDREN" mantra. There has been no push for "gay education" in school, and such a push would have NOTHING to do with marriage.

As for the substance of your arguments, you say "Hospital rights and inheritance are often contested." Uh, Mike, no they are NOT. They are NEVER contested in the case of a married couple. You also say, "Get an attorney like everyone else does." Are you actually arguing that they have equal rights because they have the right to retain a lawyer and pay him to fight for rights you get for free?

There are over 1400 governmental rights that accompany marriage (and none of them involves childhood education). Here are some of them:

And here is the economic cost denying these rights to gay couples:

How do you reach the conclusion I know nothing about what they seek Whitro, or that my opinion is fully formed? You also assume I'm insecure, nice tactic, but doesn't work here. It's petty of you to think I am concerned for myself as opposed to our kids in school being indoctrinated by secularized opinions versus what they need to actually succeed in life. I'm 46, you'll have a tougher time changing my beliefs than that of a 8 year old, which is exactly why these groups seek out school kids for their agendas.

You did however, mention a few things.

Hospital rights and inheritance are often contested, no matter what a persons sexual preference or lifestyle is. So they're already equal there. Get an attorney like everyone else does, they have that right, correct? People have successfully made their pets their beneficiaries.

I want to know what more rights they seek that they don't already have. If you don't know, that's fine, I don't expect you to, nor did I ask you specifically to explain them to me, just for someone to give me specifics. It's the vagueness of the etc. that I'm seeking answers to.

God loves the deviants. Of course he loves the white American deviants the most.

Great research, Mike. You know nothing about what they seek yet your opinion is fully formed. Well done.

For one, they seek the right to visit a loved one in the hospital, presumptive inheritance rights, etc...

"Some will keep pressure for same sex preferences to be taught in school, while denying it's part of their agenda." This has absolutely no basis in reality. Not only that, what is to stop these "some" from pressuring for this now? Nothing. The majority are concerned with this because they have been scared by opportunist political leaders. They have been duped.

They aren't trying to make you gay, Mike. They are trying to gain equal rights. And it costs you nothing...except your insecurities.

Can someone explain EXACTLY what "rights" married couples have that are being sought by this group? I want specifics, because I'm not convinced when they say those "rights" are all they seek. Will they stop there? Some will keep pressure for same sex preferences to be taught in school, while denying it's part of their agenda. That is what the majority of opponents of this subject are concerned about. Same sex couples are NOT equivalent to marriage between one man and one woman. When the day comes that Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve can conceive a child and bring forth life without outside interference, then maybe I'll be convinced, not until. Have whatever sexual preference you choose, but don't try to force me to be part of it.

As I am sure they are disgusted with yours. For a so-called conservative, you are awfully concerned with one's private choices. And I see no distinction between [your highly exaggerated depiction of] a pride parade and your own flamboyant public blog posts.

I am not a criminal defense attorney. In fact, a very small portion of lawyers are criminal defense attorneys. So I really have nothing to add to your comments apart from referring you to the United States Constitution's right to counsel. It's pretty self-explanatory, and what sets us apart from the barbaric societies elsewhere on this planet.

And I would never call you a lawyer, or anything else that would require higher education for that matter.

My point was simple. Across the board people are trending towards equal rights for gay people. It's a matter of time. Just as with past questions of inequality.

YADA, YADA, YADA, Call me what you want, just don't call me a bottom feeding LAWYER. Its telling that you mention inter-racial marriage, when a poll of blacks don't want sexual deviance equated with the Freedom movement. When the deviants march for their so-called rights, they do it dressed as deviant Nuns and dressed like sexual slaves in bondage gear. That and sexual perverts are how you Lawyers make you filthy money, defending Murders and Rapists or a mixture of both. Do you wear spandex and Latex clothes on your time off. Did you make it to the Village when you were in N.Y.? I'm not a bigot, I'm just disgusted with their life style.
