Oh, I didn't know you meant accomplishments you agree with. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they don't count, or didn't happen. The statement you made about the Iraq War is highly disturbing, and I hope to hell we never have a preside…

Honestly, your points are a simplistic recitation of talking points that could be heard on any right wing radio program. You post above said "commander in chief," implying his military position. Regardless, I simply cannot believe that there is any…

Let me dig through the sarcasm and address your policy points. 1) Auto industry bailout. 100% against it. It is not the federal government's job to own car companies, insurance companies, banks, etc. And we can't afford it. Have you looked at our n…

Probably all those GM auto owners are disappointed their warranties aren't worthless today. People who got big credits on a new, higher mileage car would rather have their gas-guzzlers back, too. Family planning organizations around the world were…

What are your issues with his job? He has been, by all accounts, a pro-war president. He supplied the military with the troops they asked for and sooner than they asked for them. He has committed to "victory" in spite of so many of his supporters wh…

While I agree that Health Insurance is too expensive in many cases, I don't agree with government getting further involved in it. Personally, if the government is already taxing me for something, I either want my money back, or my money's worth of…

Up to now, we've put our faith, as you call it, in the healthcare industry. If they say you don't qualify, you're screwed. Healthcare shouldn't be a concern of someone with no job, but it is. Because if they get sick, on top of having no job, they'r…

I wonder what percentqage of the 15.6% chose a big screen tv, snowmobile, new truck, etc. over purchasing health care? Which by the way is their god given, not too mention constitutional right. Health care should not be very high on the list of conc…

While I'm no mathematician, the way to get there is, I believe, as follows: Number of Americans without healthcare divided by total number of Americans (47,000,000 / 300,000,000 = .156 or 15.6%). 1% would mean that either a lot of people are lying a…

a good solid B+?

Not an "incomplete", not a "that's up to the american people to decide", but a good solid B+. That's how our president grades himself as commander and chief. I don't agree with many of the policies he is trying to implement so far, but I also understand that it is entirely too early in the game to put a grade on what he has done to our country. Maybe I am brain washed by the right wing talk show hosts. Please Obama supporters, chime in here and straighten me out. What has he accomplished so far… Continue

SUMMIT OVER.

Now our president can go home and work on creating jobs and lowering the deficit. Once he is done with cap n trade, public health care, insurance/financial/auto bailouts, etc. of course.

Don't stop now pay czar!

I am not against Obama’s pay czar slashing executive compensation of those companies that chose to accept tax payer dollars to prop up their bottom lines. It was their choice to take the money from our pockets. Every dollar the government gives to someone must first be taken from someone else (little reagan for ya) But why stop there? How about a pay czar to evaluate the compensation of those in Washington? No more jumbo jets for Nancy, no more health care for life (private care of course, they… Continue

Flu Shots Public vs Private....

We have been working with the health dept for the last 3 weeks trying to get flu shots for our employees. A very nice gesture by the company I work for. Delivery has been "delayed" now twice. Still no flu shots, maybe next week. The reason stated is that other counties have had a greater need and they have been forced to give there doses to other health depts. Isn't that called rationing? Welcome to the future of health care in America should obamacare become reality. Sickening, literally.

Granholm vs Wynn, Another Embarrassment for MI

Great example of a liberal politician vs a successful job creator. I am embarrassed for my state. Jenny calls one of the most successful entrepreneurs in our country “simplistic”? Wow.

Liberal politicians: we need more handouts to keep going!
Job creator: cut my taxes so I can create more jobs!

Just thinks if we took all the entitlement money and put it back in the private sector (tax cuts). Something about “give a man a fish, he eats for a day….” comes to mind.

LANSING — As Michigan school districts fight to cope with state cuts, urban districts have a fallback their suburban and rural counterparts are less likely to get: direct grants from the federal stimulus package.
