I am 100% sure that the secondary effects of alcohol are more damaging than even the primary effects of smoking. That said, I am a libertarian. And you brought up the "right" to breathe clean air, not me. In my opinion, smoking laws pass quite simp…

Neil, if there were more money in it for a bar to ban smoking, they would have done so already, if they saw fit. I don't smoke and I don't eat in smoky places. I also don't tell people how to run their business. Jeff, under your reasoning, we shou…

Honestly, your points are a simplistic recitation of talking points that could be heard on any right wing radio program. You post above said "commander in chief," implying his military position. Regardless, I simply cannot believe that there is any…

In all seriousness, Ron. What policy positions of Sarah Palin do you agree with. Her position on the bailout? For it. Her position on Iraq? Wanted out ASAP. Her faith? Her church is extreme, to say the least. What attracts people to her? I just do…

BREAKING NEWS: Ron Moore ill-informed on Brazilian oil issue, poor speller.

It's a loan (not a gift), it wasn't from (or ordered by) Obama or Obama appointed officials, and not a single tax-payer dollar is involved.

http://www.factcheck.org/2009/09/bogus-brazilian-oil-claims/#

Let's congratulate Ron on posting an argument that took an entire twenty seconds of research to refute! Great job, Ron!

I'm new here...

I am not currently living in Northern Michigan, but was born and raised in Petoskey. I have to ask, are the comments offered by Ron Moore indicative of the tone of this website?

Thus far, I have seen everything from political hyperbole (death panels), to ignorance (Obama's supposed Muslim faith) to outright racism (reference to the First Lady's body type and calling the President "Gumby the Magic Negro").

I certainly don't mind arguments or talking points, but this is pretty offensive stuff, a… Continue

I did not say You are a liberal and I avoid labeling as much as I know how to. I said, "You seem to know the Liberal talking points very well.", So the inference is your own. As far as your policy statements go, I try to understand what I read and you came into this forum with an apparent chip on your shoulder over grammar and nothing constructive to add to any discussion here.
If you don't think you are paying for abortions, or that Medicare isn't already cut, or death counciling will not occur if this Obamacare fiasco occurs or that we aren't already supporting illegals with health care I'll just call You uninformed.
Not that I agree with every talk radio host, I will say that there are several worth listening to. Mark Levin, Bill Bennett, Andrew Wilkow, Glen Beck, Mike Church.

You seem to know the Liberal talking points very well. If You are just looking for an arguement to get into I probably won't participate in the way you'd like. As to your excerpt from Ron's post, there is nothing there that hasn't been discussed elsewhere in more detail than I'd put into this forum.
Read some history. Follow the money. All of the Right's arguements are based on the past record of liberal thinking. Most of our problems today are a result of changing the forefathers outline for this nation.

Whitro McSwill,
Welcome to 231 Forum, I see that You have taken a dislike to Ron Moores posts. For what it's worth Ron is more impassioned than most of us and seems to hurry his posts so he often publishes his typos. However he is possibly the most informed of any of us as to Right and Wrong, (Right and Left in my book). In the future I hope You will suspend your emotions and put some thought into Your posts.
