- Ron, I'm guessing you're not a fan of Michael Moore, but you might want to consider seeing Capitalism. Seriously. Whatever you've heard or seen of it, he doesn't pull any punches taking on democrats or republicans, especially Chris Dodd and his collusion with the banking industry, and he's very much critical of the bailouts, and the politicians who panicked and got sucked into it. We saw it Saturday. You could always wear a disguise...

- Thanks for your comment. Malamute's are good sized dogs. Strong, too, from what I hear. My husky was the runt and last of her litter (only 40 lbs. max.). Luckily, she won't jump too high or far. She has access to the outside deck through a dog door I made last year, and it's only a 6 ft. drop to the bushes below. I'm surprised she's never jumped off, even when squirrels, deer or turkeys wander by. I can't walk her without a leash, though, or she'll run off.
The wildlife pictures are frames from a video I made on loons a couple years ago. I'll put a clip on my page when I get a chance. Was Austin a pretty liberal place to live (for Texas, anyway)? And what brought you to Northern Michigan? Were you originally from here?
