Public vs. private employees and concessions

I've been pretty shocked by the "bargaining" going on in the public sector. While us lowly few left with jobs at private businesses sit back accepting increases in health care costs and feel blessed to simply have a job (obviously eating any hopes of wage increases), government employees and teachers are holding out for wage increases and benefits packages paid for on our backs. It's time to make real concessions.

Petoskey city residents on the fence in the upcoming election have a new tool to use in picking a favorite in the mayor’s race.

New technology: Are we missing out on life?

I had the pleasure of attending the Indigo Girls concert at Interlochen last night. What a performance! Truth be told the opening act, Brandi Carlile stole the show.

I haven't attended a live music event like this in a longgg time. Sure live music at the bar is an experience but packing thousands into a venue just to hear a band is a different ball game.

The whole point of these big events that we pay a bazillion dollars for is to enjoy it.
